Witnesses to Hunger aims to develop innovative, empirically-tested solutions to the challenges of hunger and economic insecurity. After media reports of lead contamination and inadequate government response in Flint, Michigan, the Witnesses decided to add action on testing for lead in drinking water to their focus on hunger and poverty. “Witnesses” was founded by Mariana Chilton (right, center), Professor of Health Management and Policy, and Director of the Center for Hunger-Free Communities, a community-engaged research, service, advocacy and policy center of Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health in Philadelphia. The program is managed by Michelle Taylor (right, top). Volunteers featured in CROWD & CLOUD Episode 2 include concerned neighbors Regina Brewington (left), Tianna Gaines-Turner, Angela Sutton, Emily Edwards, Sherita Mouzon, and Myra Young (right, bottom).
