Ted is a healthcare innovator and entrepreneur, bringing new health technologies to transform conventional notions of clinical trials and patient registries to meet the changing values of the healthcare system and the empowerment of patients in the process. He was the Co-Founder of AIR Louisville, the largest real-time community asthma monitoring program, in partnership with Propeller Health. After obtaining his PhD in Cognitive Science from Miami University, Ted went on as a Postdoc at MIT, also studying Cognitive Science, with his research funded by NASA. He is the former Executive Director for the Institute for Healthy Air, Water, and Soil. From there, he became the Chief of Civic Innovation for Louisville, where he partnered government and community through collaboration with Propeller Health. He has now left government service and returned to the private sector. Ted believes that, at the end of the day, the public will be able to better manage their environment to prevent triggering asthma symptoms through data collection.
