As Vice President of Science and Research at Propeller Health, Meredith works with academic collaborators and city partners to create research programs. Their goal is to collect data on asthma symptoms and patterns that's useful for patients and residents, and for public health research. At Duke University, she earned her PhD in Ecology and was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. Meredith went on to be a Postdoctoral Scholar for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health & Society Scholar Program. At Propeller Health, her team aims to take the data they’re collecting on individual patients, aggregate it, and be able to take lessons from it that could be useful for a city, county, state, or even nationwide. They look for patterns of asthma attacks across a region and then do analyses to try to figure out what might be driving those attacks. This information can inform decision making and the policy process. Meredith is passionate about working to align environmental and health priorities.
