Jessica Griffiths
BIO

Jessica has been working as a Wildlife Biologist for over 10 years, and serves as the Coordinator for Monarch Alert, a California Polytechnic program dedicated to the study and conservation of monarch butterflies on the Central Coast. She has experience with avian survey protocol development, nest surveys, monarch butterfly biology and conservation, bird banding, statistical analysis, wildlife and construction monitoring, and environmental compliance. Jessica has worked as a Wildlife Biologist for the Ventana Wildlife Society, overseeing all of their songbird research projects and running the Big Sur Ornithology Lab for several years. She recently obtained her Masters in Biology at Cal Poly, where her research focuses on overwintering monarch butterflies. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wellesley College in Massachusetts.
