Chad Gimmestad is a Forecaster with the National Weather Service in Boulder, Colorado. His work includes issuing weather forecasts and warnings, supporting emergency managers during extreme weather events, training volunteers, and a little computer programming. Chad has a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Iowa State University and has worked for the NWS for 26 years. He has loved watching the weather since he was a young boy getting chased inside by Florida thunderstorms. He enjoys hiking and encouraging young people.
