Angel and Mariel Abreu

Angel and Mariel are a husband and wife birding duo who run guided tours through their company, “Nature is Awesome Birding and Wildlife Tours.” Spending as much time as possible observing and recording bird behavior, they hope to sharing amazing moments with fellow naturalists and birders. Angel and Mariel are members of the Nikon Birding Prostaff team, and with help from Nikon Sport Optics, they hope to inspire interest in potential birders they meet. They both dabble in the world of nature photography with an emphasis on birds and their habitats and surrounding nature.

Angel and Mariel are also known in the Florida birding community for their work on radar ornithology. During spring and fall, they share radar images of birds migrating and predict birding conditions across the state. As a result of this work, they have become amateur meteorologists, because they spend countless amounts of time looking at weather patterns and wind charts. They are always in search of answers to questions about where birds are headed and where the next "fallout" may occur.
