Adventure Scientists is a non-profit initiative that seeks to unlock solutions to the world’s environmental challenges. It helps partner scientists with adventure athletes (snowboarders, climbers, ocean sailors, etc.) to perform unique research and collect data from the outdoors. There are projects all over the world with training provided so adventures can become citizen scientists and provide hard-to-obtain data that would otherwise be unavailable for researchers.

Adventure Scientists form a network of informed advocates who contribute meaningful conservation research in the areas they visit, and have a deep commitment to the scientific process. Researchers use the inexpensive data acquired from the project for their own studies without having to spend large sums to gather it. This isn’t just for hard core adventurers, anyone can participate at any age or location. The goal of the project is to train and inspire the next generation of citizen scientists.
